Maggie’s Chocolate Chip Cookies
For years, this recipe has been Buddy's favorite and as such is always the first batch of cookies I send to him when he deploys. In fact, this recipe happens to be the oldest in my arsenal. It is the first recipe I ever attempted, and over the years I have altered and reworked it in a never ending search for the ultimate Chocolate Chip Cookie. I believe I have come close with this rendition. What's more, this is a recipe that tends to maintain its chewy goodness long enough to get to Buddy no matter where he happens to be, and still be edible when they arrive (though I am convinced that the troops would eat dirt and like it as long as the dirt was sent with love from home!) As an aside, my tastes might have changed over the years, but my love of Chocolate Chip Cookie dough (specifically for this recipe) has remained.
